Whitney Carlson, MSN, FNP-C is a board-certified aesthetic dermatology Nurse Practitioner. She was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. After graduating in 2008, she began her journey to becoming Alaska’s Beauty Nurse. She started her career as a facial plastic surgery nurse/nurse injector and she helped build one of Alaska’s largest medical spas. After moving to the Peninsula in 2014, Whitney partnered with dermatologist Dr. Mathew Cannava, to create an elevated medical aesthetic dermatology service line. In 2020, Whitney partnered with Dr. Katie Ostrom to bring clinic to the beautiful seaside town of Homer, Alaska. In 2024 she opened her aesthetic dermatology clinic, Skin Confident Alaska. Here she offers the most advanced and evidence-based medical aesthetic treatments available.
Whitney is an ardent advocate for skin health and natural injectables. Whitney continues her education by traveling around the world to learn the safest, most advanced techniques in her field. Whitney is a faculty trainer for Crafted Academy, a national trainer and local private trainer, and has moderated for the Academy for Injection Anatomy by the American Medical Spa Association. Whitney is also a National company trainer for Revance Aesthetics and travels across the US teaching injectors the art of neurotoxins and fillers.
Whitney’s passion and heart for her patients is what drives her to never stop learning, teaching and providing incredible results. Her goal for her patients is education and beautiful, refined results for a lifetime of confident, healthy beauty.

Whitney provides advanced injection services such as Botox, HA fillers and Kybella. Whitney offers fillers from the Juvederm, Restylane and RHA family of fillers. Her goal is to educate and empower her patients to look and feel their best. Whitney has advanced cannula and needle training from trainers around the world, and constantly continues her education in aesthetics to provide beautiful and safe results. Refined, natural and graceful injectables are her specialty. Whitney is known for her conservative approach, and abides by the adage "The best injectable is undetectable."

Whitney has worked extensively with patients and medical-grade skincare for nearly two decades, with specialized training rooted in the philosophy of Dr. Zein Obagi—an internationally recognized pioneer in advanced skincare for more than 35 years. Dr. Obagi’s approach goes beyond addressing surface concerns, focusing instead on restoring skin health at the cellular level.
Whitney introduced ZO® Skin Health to the Kenai Peninsula in 2014 and continues to work closely with each patient to develop comprehensive, customized treatment plans. Her extensive background in dermatology and medical aesthetics allows her to guide patients of all ages toward long-term skin health and confidence.
Whitney is ZO® Master Certified and has attended multiple invitation-only advanced trainings with Dr. Zein Obagi at their headquarters in Irvine, CA.
Designed for injectors just beginning their journey or for those seeking a higher level of mastery, Whitney offers bespoke training and consultation rooted in nearly two decades of advanced injectable experience and practice leadership. Whether refining technique or expanding clinical confidence, each training experience is tailored to elevate both skill and judgment.
Private full-day or half-day sessions may include on-label and off-label injection technique, comprehensive filler rheology, advanced facial assessment, safety protocols, and anatomy-driven treatment planning.
